Taking Time to Recharge

Dear Readers,

I'm taking a brief pause from our weekly conversations to spend time with family and to rest—something I hope you're finding ways to do too, even if it looks different than you imagined.

The holidays can be complicated when you're caring for someone with dementia. There might be moments of unexpected joy alongside the grief of traditions that no longer fit. There might be exhaustion wrapped up with love. Whatever your season holds, I want you to know that you're doing enough. You are enough.

I'll be away until January 5th, when we'll pick up right where we left off with more practical guidance and emotional support for this journey you're on.

Until then, I'm wishing you gentle moments, however they come. May you find pockets of peace, connection with people who truly see you, and grace for yourself when things don't go as planned.

Happy holidays to you and yours, and a blessed New Year filled with strength, hope, and the kind of rest that actually restores. I'll see you back here in the New Year. Take good care.

With gratitude for this community we're building together,

Donna
